Goodbye, Kings

Bio

A cinematic post-rock ensemble

Formed in Milan in 2012, Goodbye, Kings are a ten-piece instrumental collective blending cinematic post-rock, contemporary composition, ambient and psychedelia. Built around guitars, piano, synths, rhythm section and brass, their music unfolds through long-form narratives, moving from near-silence to orchestral peaks.

Praised as “one of the most accomplished post-rock acts out there today” and “one of the most visionary forces in the contemporary scene,” Goodbye, Kings create immersive, image-rich music — a soundtrack to memories that never happened.

The orchestral scale recalls Godspeed You! Black Emperor, the detail of Grails and the expressive freedom of Mogwai, while retaining a distinctly Milanese elegance.
